- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup water or chicken stock
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 sandwich buns
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, pickles, jalapeño slices
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté onion and pepper until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Crumble in ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, ketchup, Worcestershire, and water; simmer 6-8 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper; toast buns if desired and fill with the chicken mixture; add toppings.

- Can substitute ground turkey or beef for variation
- Toast buns for extra crunch
