Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs on prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–22 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned.
- While meatballs bake, whisk together grape jelly, cranberry sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth and bubbly.
- Once meatballs are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the warm glaze over them. Toss until evenly coated.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a smoother glaze, warm the jelly and cranberry sauce gently before mixing.
- For extra tenderness, add 1/4 cup grated apple to the meat mixture.
- Make ahead: Cook meatballs and glaze separately; combine and reheat before serving.
