- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- Set up breading station: flour, eggs, and breadcrumb mixture with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Dip mozzarella sticks in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing to coat.
- Chill 15 minutes to set coating.
- Fry in hot oil (350°F/175°C) until crisp and golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with marinara sauce.
Notes
- For extra gooey centers, freeze mozzarella sticks for 20 minutes before frying.
- To bake instead of fry, place on a parchment-lined sheet and air-fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes or bake at 425°F (220°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning once.
- Use string cheese or mozzarella sticks for best melt.
