- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut in half
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Set up dredging stations: flour in a shallow dish, eggs in another, and a third with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Dip each mozzarella half in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture. Place coated sticks on a tray.
- Freeze coated sticks 15-20 minutes for best coating adherence (optional).
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly spray the coated sticks with cooking spray. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook 6-8 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

- For ultra-crispy crust, use panko breadcrumbs.
- Freeze 15-20 minutes to prevent cheese from leaking.
