- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 8 pepperoni slices
- 4 burger buns
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form ground beef into 4 equal patties, season with salt and pepper.
- Grill or cook patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, until cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni. Cover to melt cheese.
- Toast buns lightly on the grill.
- Assemble burgers with cooked patties, fresh basil, and toppings of choice. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or veggie patties for a healthier or vegetarian option.
- Adjust toppings to your preference, adding olives or banana peppers for extra flavor.
