- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cooked BBQ chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, Parmesan, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until cheese melts.
- Mix cooked macaroni and BBQ chicken in a large bowl. Pour cheese sauce over and mix well.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish and top with extra cheese if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, use smoked paprika or add a dash of liquid smoke.
- You can substitute cooked rotisserie chicken for BBQ chicken.
