- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pickles, condiments
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crispy and set aside.
- Form ground beef into four equal patties, season with salt and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry patties over medium heat until cooked to desired doneness.
- Place cheese slices on patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast burger buns lightly.
- Assemble the burgers: place lettuce, tomato, onion, and bacon on the bottom bun, add the cooked beef patty, then top with the upper bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
