Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups fresh figs, sliced
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pre-made tart crust (graham cracker or cookie crust)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the caramelized figs by melting butter in a skillet over medium heat, adding brown sugar, and cooking sliced figs for 5-7 minutes until caramelized. Cool slightly.
- Mix mascarpone cheese, honey, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold gently into the mascarpone mixture to create a fluffy filling.
- Spread the mascarpone filling evenly into the tart crust. Top with caramelized figs, arranging them attractively. Drizzle some caramel sauce over the top for extra flavor and visual appeal.
- Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours to set. Garnish with fresh mint leaves just before serving for a fresh touch.
Notes
- Use fresh, ripe figs for optimal caramelization and flavor.
- Ensure the mascarpone mixture is smooth and well combined for best texture.
- Chill thoroughly before serving to maintain the tart’s shape and consistency.
