Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fruit punch or berry juice
- 1 pack unflavored gelatin powder (0.3 oz)
- Green or red food coloring (optional)
- Edible eyeball candies or candy eyes
- Red gel icing or syrup for blood effect
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the fruit punch or berry juice and sprinkle the gelatin powder over it. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until the gelatin dissolves completely.
- Add food coloring if desired for a more vivid effect.
- Pour the mixture into small silicone molds or shot glasses, filling just enough to create a rounded shape.
- Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Once firm, top each gelatin shot with an edible eyeball candy or candy eye, pressing gently to embed.
- Use red gel icing or syrup to mimic blood around the ‘eyeballs’ for a spooky effect.
Notes
- You can use different colored juices for varied effects.
- Ensure gelatin is fully dissolved to prevent clumping.
- Embed the edible eyeballs after the gelatin has partially set for easier placement.
