Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: hot sauce or chili flakes for extra spice
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of each piece of chicken. Marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour for enhanced flavor.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot with sides like roasted vegetables, rice, or salad. Optional: drizzle with hot sauce or chili flakes for added heat.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase cayenne or chili flakes.
- If using an air fryer, cook at 400°F for about 12-15 minutes for crispy results.
- Marinating the chicken in the spice rub for longer enhances flavor and juiciness.
