- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix applesauce, brown sugar, honey, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Fold in raisins if using.
- Scoop 1-inch dough balls onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look set.
- Cool on pan 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- For gluten-free, use certified GF oats and flour.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days—or freeze for longer.
- Reduce sugar to 2 tbsp if preferred—applesauce adds natural sweetness!
