- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, mix baking soda, salt, and the wet mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop tablespoons of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden on the edges. Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- For longer storage, freeze baked cookies for up to three months and thaw before enjoying.
- These cookies can be enhanced with extra chocolate chips or a drizzle of chocolate on top.
