- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with yogurt, garam masala, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Place chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and tomato sauce into the slow cooker. Mix to combine.
- Add seasoned chicken to the slow cooker, stirring to coat with sauce.
- Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and butter during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside rice or naan.
Notes
- Adjust spice levels according to your preference.
- Can be made with chicken thighs for extra tenderness.
- Serves best with jasmine rice or naan bread.
