Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons za’atar spice blend
- 2 lemons (juice and zest)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, mix za’atar, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, and minced garlic.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then rub the spice mixture generously over both sides. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Arrange the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of za’atar based on your taste preferences for herbs and spices.
- Use fresh lemon juice for maximum flavor and zestiness.
- For more intense flavor, marinate the chicken for several hours or overnight.
- For a smoky flavor, cook the chicken on a grill or stovetop instead of baking.
