- 4 large apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Wash and core the apples, then slice them into thin pieces.
- Toss the apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon until evenly coated.
- If using, mix nuts into the seasoned apple slices and fill each slice with a dollop of butter.
- Place the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes until the apples are soft but not mushy.
- Carefully remove the apples from the air fryer and serve warm.
Notes
- Leftover baked apples can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving again.
- These baked apples pair well with ice cream, caramel sauce, or yogurt.
