- 1 pound breakfast sausage links or patties
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped herbs (parsley, chives)
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 beaten egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Crumble sausage and cook in a skillet until browned. Let cool slightly.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into 24 squares.
- Mix cooked sausage with cheese and herbs.
- Place spoonfuls of the sausage mixture on each pastry square.
- Fold and seal edges, then brush with beaten egg.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sausage mixture.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
