Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) skirt or flank steak, sliced ½” thick against the grain
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat; sear steak 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and rest.
- Reduce heat to medium; add butter and garlic. Sizzle 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add green beans, toss in garlic butter, and cook 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Slice rested steak and return to skillet, tossing to coat in sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crunch, toss green beans with 1 tablespoon toasted slivered almonds before serving.
- Marinate steak 10 minutes in 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp honey for deeper flavor depth.
- No smoker? Use smoked paprika or a dash of Liquid Smoke for similar richness.
