Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk. Mix until the dough starts to come together.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf, place it on a baking sheet, and slash a deep cross on the top. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

- Wrap the bread in a clean, dry cloth and store in a cool, dry area.
- For longer storage, freeze the bread sliced for easy thawing.
