Ingredients
Scale
- 8 Hawaiian sweet rolls, sliced in half horizontally
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Butter one side of each roll half. Place 1 slice cheddar and ½ slice American cheese between two buttered halves to make 8 sandwiches.
- Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm, optionally drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with a pinch of salt.
Notes
- For extra decadence, add a smear of Mayonnaise instead of butter for a crispier crust.
- Pair with pickles or a simple green salad for balance.
