Instructions
- Dice the onion and bell pepper for even cooking.
- Optional: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat and drain excess grease.
- In the slow cooker, combine diced onion, bell pepper, ground beef, tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir all ingredients, cover the slow cooker, and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Once cooked, shred the beef and serve on hamburger buns.
