- 1 lb cooked pulled beef
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of pulled beef in the center of each square. Top with cheese and herbs.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pouch, sealing the edges with a bit of beaten egg.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
- You can prepare these pastries ahead of time and bake just before serving.
- Serve with a side of dipping sauce or salsa for extra flavor.
