Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients required for the cookies.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients: flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, blend peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually mix the wet and dry ingredients to form a thick dough, folding in the chocolate chips.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, ensuring space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container separated by parchment paper for up to three months.
- Pair with cold milk or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
