Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1.5 cups crushed Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients for the cookies.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed Oreos until evenly mixed.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop cookie dough onto the sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For freezing, place cookies in a freezer-safe bag and they can last up to three months.
- For chewy cookies, avoid overbaking and remove them from the oven when the centers are slightly underbaked.
