Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Combine orange juice, lime juice, honey, garlic, ginger, and cilantro in a bowl. Whisk until honey dissolves fully. Drizzle in olive oil to create the marinade.
- Place chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally 4–6 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375°F to 450°F). Clean and lightly oil grates.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Baste with remaining marinade during the last few minutes.
Notes
- Marinate for 4-6 hours for optimal flavor and tenderness.
- Use fresh citrus juices for the best taste.
- Pat dry chicken before grilling to ensure a good sear.
- Maintain steady grill temperature to prevent burning the marinade.
- Allow the grilled chicken to rest for juiciness before slicing.
