- 1–2 tablespoons of Kashmiri pink salt or Himalayan pink salt
- 3–4 crushed green cardamom pods
- Optional garnishes: crushed pistachios, almonds, or rose petals
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a deep saucepan. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the water turns a bright pink shade.
- Add green tea leaves or tea bags along with crushed cardamom pods. Simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Pour in 1 cup of full-fat milk, add 1-2 tablespoons of pink salt, and stir well. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Strain the pink chai into teacups through a fine sieve. Garnish with crushed pistachios, almonds, or rose petals if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy its aromatic and visual appeal for a perfect tea time experience.
Notes
- Store leftover pink chai in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Reheat gently before serving.
