Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Pat steak pieces dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still pink inside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic. Stir for 1 minute until garlic is fragrant and butter melts.
- Sprinkle in red pepper flakes (if using), stir to coat steak in sauce, and remove from heat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use room-temperature steak and avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure a good sear.
- Let steak rest 2–3 minutes after cooking for juicier bites.
- Leftovers keep well, refrigerated, for up to 2 days.
