Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 8 slices of crispy beef bacon or thinly sliced cooked beef
- 4 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 4 hoagie or sandwich buns
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko or regular bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter or oil for frying
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dip each into flour, then beaten eggs, and coat with panko bread crumbs.
- Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- Spread ranch dressing generously on the cut sides of the buns. Layer the crispy chicken, beef slices or bacon, and cheese. Add optional toppings if desired.
- Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil in the oven until the cheese melts, or use a sandwich press for quick melting. Serve hot.
Notes
- Double-dipping the chicken in egg and bread crumbs increases crispiness.
- Use freshly baked buns for better texture.
- Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack or provolone for variety.
- Add hot sauce or spicy mayo for a spicy twist.
