Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
- Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or deep fryer to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or heat oil for frying.
- Pat dry the chicken tenders and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of panko, Parmesan, and seasonings.
- Coat each chicken tender in flour, then in egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through (about 4-5 minutes per side), or place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
- During the last 2 minutes of baking or frying, sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the tenders to enhance cheesiness.
- Garnish with chopped parsley for color and serve immediately with dipping sauces such as ranch, honey mustard, or buffalo sauce.
Notes
- Use fresh chicken tenders for the best texture and flavor.
- Double bread the tenders for extra crunch by repeating the breading process.
- Ensure oil is hot before frying to achieve a crispy exterior without excess oil absorption.
- Adjust seasoning in the breading to suit your taste preferences.
