- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Flour the work surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Sprinkle butterscotch chips and cinnamon over the dough, then roll it tightly into a log.
- Cut the log into equal-sized rolls and place them into a greased baking dish.
- Allow the rolls to rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for frosting and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze before frosting and reheat when needed.
- These rolls can be prepared the night before and left to rise in the fridge.
