Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt; mix until crumbly.
- Gradually add ice water until dough forms; wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice for filling.
- Roll out chilled dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 5-inch circles.
- Place a tablespoon of filling on each circle, fold over, and seal edges.
- Brush tops with egg wash, then bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven to maintain flakiness.
- Best served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
