Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt; mix until crumbly.
  2. Gradually add ice water until dough forms; wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice for filling.
  4. Roll out chilled dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 5-inch circles.
  5. Place a tablespoon of filling on each circle, fold over, and seal edges.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash, then bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
