- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients at room temperature for best results.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden, then cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months with parchment paper layers to prevent sticking.
