- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups diced potatoes (precooked or parboiled)
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch aluminum foil pan or baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add onions and garlic; sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess fat. <li id="instruction-step-4" Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Add potatoes, green beans, and peas. Mix well. Transfer mixture to prepared pan.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a shortcut, use frozen diced hash brown potatoes or leftover cooked potatoes.
- Dairy-free? omit cheese or use a plant-based cheddar alternative.
- Make ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate. Add 5–10 minutes to bake time if cold.
