  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the butterscotch chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt. Stir gently until melted and well-mixed.
  2. Gradually increase the heat to medium, stirring constantly, and allow to bubble gently for about 5 minutes until thick and creamy.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking pan, smoothing the top. Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate until set (around 2 hours).
