Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, depending on peach sweetness)
- 1 cup chilled sparkling wine or champagne
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- Peach slices or fresh fruit for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by blending the peeled and sliced peaches with a little sugar in a blender until smooth. Adjust thickness by adding more peaches or reducing liquid.
- Ensure your champagne or sparkling wine is well chilled. Place glasses in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes to chill.
- Pour about 2-3 tablespoons of peach puree into each chilled glass. Gently top off with the chilled sparkling wine, pouring slowly to preserve bubbles.
- If desired, add ice cubes for a slushier, frozen texture—blend the puree with ice beforehand for a more frozen version.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint or a peach slice on the rim. Serve immediately for the freshest, most bubbly experience.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling wine with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
- Prepare the peach puree in advance and keep it refrigerated, adding sparkling wine just before serving.
- Easily make a frozen version by blending the peach puree with ice for a slushy consistency.
- Store leftover peach puree in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
