Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (2 sheets) puff pastry, thawed
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley (optional, chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool slightly.
- Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface. Cut each sheet into 4 squares.
- Spoon a portion of beef mixture into the center of each square, top with cheese.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or fold edges inward for a croissant shape, sealing edges well.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
Notes
- Ensure the beef mixture is cooled before filling to prevent soggy pastry.
- You can customize fillings with cooked vegetables or spices.
- Serve warm with a side salad for a complete brunch.
