- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb shrimp or chicken (optional)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp or chicken if using and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red bell pepper until fragrant and tender.
- Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the vegetables and stir well.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese, mixing until evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to desired spice level.
- You can substitute shrimp with chicken or keep it vegetarian with only veggies.
- For extra creaminess, add more Parmesan or a splash of milk.
