  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • For mashed potatoes:
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through.
  3. In a skillet, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer and cook until gravy thickens. Add baked meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare mashed potatoes: In a pot, boil potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, garlic, and thyme until smooth.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sauté meatballs in a skillet before baking.
  • Use fresh herbs for a more vibrant taste.
  • Serve with green beans or a side salad for a complete meal.
