Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- For mashed potatoes:
- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through.
- In a skillet, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer and cook until gravy thickens. Add baked meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare mashed potatoes: In a pot, boil potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, garlic, and thyme until smooth.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sauté meatballs in a skillet before baking.
- Use fresh herbs for a more vibrant taste.
- Serve with green beans or a side salad for a complete meal.
