Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 keto-friendly rolls or lettuce wraps
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté sliced onions and peppers until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and cook beef until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice keto rolls horizontally if using bread or prepare lettuce wraps for a low-carb version.
- Assemble rolls by filling each with cooked beef, sautéed peppers, and onions. Top with shredded cheese.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add sautéed mushrooms or other vegetables for variation.
- Use grated mozzarella for a stringy cheese texture.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce during cooking.
