Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Pour batter into the prepared dish and evenly spread.
- Sprinkle holiday decorations on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
- For extra festive flavor, add crushed peppermint or candy cane pieces on top before baking.
