Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, thinly sliced
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, garlic powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the sliced chicken and stir well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high or set your oven’s broiler. Lightly oil the grates or use a grilling mat.
- Thread the marinated chicken slices onto skewers, leaving space between pieces. Use soaked bamboo skewers to prevent burning.
- Grill for 4-5 minutes per side or broil for 5-7 minutes, turning halfway. Chicken should be juicy with grill marks.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken slices.
