Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 16 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 ladyfingers
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
- Optional: additional cherry liqueur for drizzling
Instructions
- Start by combining the sliced cherries with amaretto liqueur in a bowl. Let sit for at least 15 minutes to soak in the flavors.
- Brew a cup of strong espresso or coffee and let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, then arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then spoon some of the cherry mixture over this layer.
- Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone mixture, finishing with a layer of cherries and chocolate shavings or cocoa powder on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set and meld flavors.
Notes
- Ensure ladyfingers are dipped briefly to prevent sogginess.
- Use high-quality mascarpone for best flavor and texture.
- Chill the assembled tiramisu thoroughly for optimal taste.
- Garnish with additional cherries, cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings before serving.
