- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Set up breading stations: one with flour, one beaten eggs, and one with crushed pretzels mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Drape chicken breasts in flour, then egg, then pretzel mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place coated chicken on prepared baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- During the last 5 minutes, top each chicken with shredded cheese and bake until melted.
Notes
- For an extra crunch, double coat the chicken in pretzels.
- Serve with a side of fresh vegetables or a light salad.
