Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs (panko or traditional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pound chicken breasts to even thickness; season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Dip chicken breasts into flour, then egg, then coat with Parmesan mixture.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer skillet to oven and bake 15-20 minutes until cooked through and crispy.
- Meanwhile, make the garlic cream sauce. In a saucepan, warm heavy cream over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Once chicken is cooked, spoon garlic cream sauce over the chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with sides like roasted vegetables or pasta for a complete meal.
Notes
- Use panko bread crumbs for extra crunchiness.
- Ensure the skillet is hot before adding chicken for a crisp crust.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming.
- Finish cooking in the oven for even crispness.
