- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup mushroom soup or creamy mushroom sauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mushroom soup, milk, cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Fold green beans into the creamy mixture until well coated.
- Pour into a baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or bacon bits.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
