Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup cotton candy, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Whipped cream and additional cotton candy for serving
Instructions
- Prepare your cotton candy by using a cotton candy machine or purchasing pre-made cotton candy. Finely chop it for better mixing.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until dissolved. Gently fold in chopped cotton candy.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours. Scoop into cones or bowls, and top with whipped cream and cotton candy before serving.
Notes
- For best flavor, consume within two weeks, though it can be stored for up to a month.
- Allow ice cream to soften slightly at room temperature before serving to facilitate scooping.
- Customize flavors by adding syrups or extracts such as strawberry or bubblegum.
