- 2 cups of brewed espresso or strong coffee
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 package of ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the mascarpone mixture by whipping the mascarpone cheese until smooth, then fold in the whipped cream mixed with sugar and vanilla extract.
- In a shallow dish, mix brewed coffee and sugar until dissolved; dip ladyfingers quickly into the mixture.
- Assemble by layering soaked ladyfingers in a dish, followed by half the mascarpone mixture, then repeat.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, then dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For added flair, serve with a shot of espresso or fresh berries.
- Gluten-free ladyfingers can be used for a gluten-free version.
