Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed cookies (like Oreos)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed cookies, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but centers are still soft. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze cookie dough before baking and bake directly from the freezer.
