- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth. Gradually add to the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each section about ¾ full. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove the donuts from the oven and cool for a few minutes. Toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer bag.
- Reheat in the oven for best texture or enjoy directly from the freezer.
