- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, melted butter, and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread mozzarella, Parmesan, and herbs over the dough.
- Roll up the dough tightly, then shape into a loaf or braid as desired.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Brush with additional beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.

- Serve warm for gooey cheese goodness.
- Can be assembled a day ahead and baked before serving.
